Years ago, when I had dial up, I could actually read my snail mail, read the newspaper, etc. while waiting for posts to load. This wasn’t all bad as I was multi-tasking.

Now, I don’t have time to go pee.

My thought process went something like this:

  1. There are times when the board runs really slow.
  2. This is true for all kinds of websites, especially ones that are popular.
  3. It’s been like that since my very first forays onto the Internet, so this isn’t news.
  4. All kinds of things can cause slowdown.
  5. It can’t be helped.
  6. The boardmasters already know, so complaining won’t to do any good.
  7. It’ll get fixed in time.
  8. There are other websites to visit in the meantime.

Amazing what a little perspective can do, huh?

(P.S.: No, I will not give a shout out to Opal. What the hell has she done to help? :smiley: )
