Anyone want to confirm my test results on powdered detergent?

I tried to make liquid laundry detergent from powdered and it didn’t work.

See, I prefer liquid as less messy, and powder makes my eyes itch. But ran out of liquid while camping, and the camp store only had the powdered kind so I got some.

When I got home I calculated by the Normal Load amounts how much water to add to get the equivalent liquid detergent. Shook it up and let it sit, shook it up and let it sit. Let it sit for months, Shook it up for minutes. It never dissolved but just sat there in the bottom of the jug making it hard to pour and measure.

I think there must be a profound truth there, but I don’t know what it is.
Also, I’m not sure if it’s reproducible. Maybe the camp was just selling boxes of sand to city slickers.

Maybe whirling it a few minutes in a blender to make a dissolvable slurry? (I have a box of dollar store cheapie powdered detergent for emergencies, it clumps up awful, but I just hack a chunk loose and toss it in the washer, and it generally comes out in the rinse if I don’t use too much.)
