Anyone want to interview me for my upcoming play?

As I previously posted, my first play “The Painting” is being staged this weekend. However, the theatre company staging it have not invited me to partake in any interviews/ q & a sessions. :frowning:

Which, I must add, I was really looking forward to. So, does anyone here have any questions?

Just to cheer a sad guy up?

Are you excited?

Did you have any influence in deciding actors/costumes/what color lighting/ etc?

Can you tell yet that I know nothing about live theater?

Are you steeling yourself in preparation for what critics might have to say about your work?

Um… are you excited?

I’m more apprehensive than excited. I’m trying not to hope for too much. Basically, its a technically complex play, which could go disatrously wrong. So, I have myself steeled for that possibility.

No, I stayed away from that end of things. The group have a good eye for actors, and have produced some well made theatre. However, they are on a tight budget so hopefully they’ve stretche to the Winnie the Pooh pajamas the script demanded!

I’m sure you know as much as i knew when I wrote it!

This is it. I live in a local town for local people, not too interested in “Arty shite”. I’m sure the word will get round that young mcbride has written a play, lets go tear strips out of it. Hopefully they’ll see past the (Inevitable) ropey production to the script itself, which I think is pretty alright. What I am dreading is my mothers reaction!

I am now! This is fun!
