If you will examine Family Feud (Part V) – and another five such threads from that same general period – which ran last February (2006) with roughly 40 players, you can see how six such efforts proceeded. It took someone willing to keep a tally of the responses to be able to determine a winner and runners-up. A fair amount of work.

If somebody (besides me) would like to volunteer such an effort, and to select a group of questions and post them to get this started, I believe the reactions to this thread would support that. If the OP want to use some other criteria for another try, that would work, too.

Just trying to respond to some obvious curiosity and interest here. Not to hijack an idea. It has been done before, for what that’s worth.

Not only does that sound fair, but Idle made it sound as if his version would be less labor intensive.

I was just trying to offer an additional solution and not a replacement one.

My memory of a year ago is that it was a lot of fun, but things tend to fizzle out after a few iterations. There have been at least three such games threads sequences where I was involved, almost to the exclusion of other SDMB activity.

Yeah, I know it’s gone on before but my version will be a bit different and more real to the actual game, I think.
