Some of those people are scary!
You have an engineer who is trying to breed a “perfect” chicken, a professional singer that was such a childish diva I wanted to punch him in the face and an ex-alcoholic with five kids whose life is consumed by caring/showing her chickens (10+ hours spent bathing them, driving hours to get to shows, etc).
I rented and watched it a couple of weeks ago. It was interesting to see all the different breeds of chicken. Some were quite gorgeous, especially the silver laced wyandotte. It made me want to go to a county fair and look at all the show chickens.
But the people were kind of out there. I was reminded of dog show people, and how strange and obsessed and OCD they become. For this reason, I didn’t watch it all the way to the end - they were starting to get to me.
