Anything else you motherfuckers need?

Even if she were, the entirety of her federal income tax would not go to UHC.

Here is a table showing how taxes are spent. You can click on the “as percentage” to see what percent goes where.

Except it said right there in the post you quoted that I have no trouble with benefits to those who truly deserve and earned them. My problem is with those that just bither thru life, running up debt and then expect that the government will bail them out when the bills come due.

Of course, the facts may get in the way of your hate-fest, so I apologize if I have upset your desire to stomp on anyone who doesn’t agree with you.

57% of someone’s income. Seriously, WTF? Do you really think that’s OK?

IOW, she deserves them and you don’t, Guin. That’s the sum of her stance on this issue, since the government does have criteria for deciding who “deserves” benefits, but she doesn’t like those.

That or people who are stuck with extremely shitty insurance, as my father was when I was in high school.

Dennis Kucinich: 60% of Bankruptcies Are Becuase Of Hospital Bills! 80% of Them Are Insured

Many just bither through life, paying for their health insurance each month, until the shit hits the fan and they discover that their insurance plan was really nothing but a scam to enrich the owners of the insurance company.

Huh. We are already spending billions in tax dollars on healthcare - how is that working out?

Because random numbers from an unreliable source with no background for where those numbers come from makes for bad math.

Again, when did I ever address any government benefit she is getting? If any. I don’t know diddly about Guin other than she lives with her parents and has epilepsy. Unlike far too many posters here, I don’t make decisions based on that tiny amount of information.

Since an awful lot of it goes to pay lawyers and accountants so they can figure out whether we should be paying it or not, not particularly well.

No, you stupid bitch, she said her parents payed for her while she was growing up. Who is paying now?

Kids, the elderly, the disabled, and war vets have access to healthcare. You have a problem with this?

Don’t bother, it’s hopeless.

You really are afraid to talk about anything else, aren’t you?

How much did you pay? I guess 0%.

Such cites are misleading, because they don’t address what the people have been doing prior to the health issue. Have they been running up thousands of dollar in credit card debt to buy those toys they just had to have, or vacations they couldn’t afford? Are they a couple with multiple genetic health issues that just had to have their own biological children, with their own expensive health issues? Or even better, did they run up a bunch of bills for IVF and then are “surprised” that the resulting pregnancy?/kid isn’t exactly healthy?

And bankruptcy - what does that mean these days? Apparently it just means that your credit score sucks for seven years. Not that these people are out in the street, living in a cardboard box.

And you want me to pay out of my retirement to cover these things?

FWIW, my father DOES pay for my Lamictal and my Paxil. Currently, I get my Zonegran through a private aid program my doctor hooked me up with.

(Sadly, it’s the Lamictal that’s REALLY expensive, especially since I’m on such a high dosage, and it’s probably going to be increased when I go to the doctor’s on Tuesday)

Who is paying right now, your FATHER, or the taxpayers?

So, we should set up a national program to do the same thing?

I know I’m late, but I just wanted to let you people know that the Singapore government subsidies healthcare too. And has mandatory medical savings schemes, and government run insurance schemes.
So, you know, please keep **Rand Rover **over there. Thanks.
