I’m done with you. That is why I’m not responding to any posts beyond this one. You are too stupid to waste my time with.

You are going to have to do the math on this one for me.
The irony is almost too much to take. You’re a liar and too much of a coward to own your own words. Hope all your money makes you feel better about that.
ETA: And somehow there’s an invitation to a Dopefest from you attached to this? Wow. I thought you were done with me, yet you also want to have dinner with me. Conflicted much?
Buddy, you’d be in dire straits if you broght a gun to a gunfight with me. You wouldn’t know what happend until I posted about it. Now go ask mommy for some more breast milk, fucking loser.
Let me simplify for you. None of those three made any substantial wealth off of their inventions. In market economic terms -> 3 poor people.
Surely, 3 poor people < 1 rich person.
What’s really funny is you don’t see the stupidity in what you keep saying. You have this concept (let’s call it “x”). I’m talking about a different concept (let’s call it “y”).
I keep saying “Y! Y!” And you keep saying “Oh, you are saying X!” And I say “No, stupid fucking bitch” (for that is what you are). And you say “Oh, you are a liar!!”
You are the one who looks like and idiot in this exchange to everyone but the most calloused dumbass observer.
If you’d look back a hundred pages, you’d notice that I said that I don’t think this applies in all circumstances. I’m not saying there’s a linear relationship between a person’s income and the value they provide to society. But I do think that, of those living who work, those who make more provide more value, which is shown simply by the fact that they make more–people are willing to give up more other things to get what these people make.
Blah blah blah, more idiot wind from the blowhard. I thought you were done with me, bitch. Can’t tear yourself away, eh? I cleaned your clock in this argument. Give it a fucking rest, you’re embarrassing yourself.
You don’t get it, do you? Call us what you will, we outnumber you, ten to one. We can vote to change the laws that allow you to prosper. We don’t need to carjack the rich when they venture outside their gated communities; we will just raise their taxes, and put them in jail if they resist. We may be lazy, but we are not idiots.
Even Caligula understood about bread and circuses; you’re too stupid to see you are sowing the seeds of your own destruction.
Yeah, thanks for the clean clock. Everyone who’s not as stupid as you that is reading this knows you are making a fool of yourself.
So you think, tough guy. Keep raising the rates, we’ll find a way around it.
Also, good to see you recognize exactly what you are doing. Too many liberal douches dress up their thievery in flowery terms–you are OK with acknowledging it as the highway robbery that it is.
Well, now, don’t pay too much attention to ol’ Fear, Rand, he gets a little excited. Hell, nobody wants to destroy. Six months, Jane Fonda Re-Education and Aerobics Camp, tops. Really. And you got a head start on self-criticism sessions, hell, we already did the work for you, just cut and paste, and read aloud at the meeting!
And if by some fluke you do go Straight to the Wall, well, a lot of us gonna feel right bad about that!
In other words, when challenged, you back down from your ridiculous absolutist position.
What does it matter if the inventors/scientists I mentioned are not among “those living who work”? Are you telling me if you got hit by a bus tomorrow, the rest of us couldn’t discuss the merit of your societal contributions? Doesn’t that seem a tad arbitrary?
And you still cling to your tautology. In your very own words:
“Those who make more…” (income)
“…provide more value…” (societal value)
“…which is shown simply by the fact that they make more.” (income)
C’mon, man. You’re not stupid - be honest and look at your own argument and see its inherent weakness.
Mind you, I say this as someone who does not identify as a liberal, and has no problem with rich people per se. Hell, I grew up in a wealthy household, and though I don’t make much money now, I would fucking love it if I could make a bit more scratch.
Why do you even feel a need to cloak your pride in your earning power with a semblance of moral legitimacy?
No. You didn’t bother to read what I said in the first place.
But it’s OK, there’s a lot of that going around lately (Rubysteak, I’m looking right at your wide ass).
Spin that wheel you little hamster! You work for us now!
I am shocked to hear you suggest I would stoop to thuggery to achieve my ends. It’s all legal, just read the tax laws. If it’s legal, there can’t be anything wrong with it, can there?
With that clean clock, you should be able to see it’s time to shut the fuck up. I don’t see anyone agreeing with you, do you? And I thought you were done with me. Another lie, eh? Moron.

I’m sorry, I am not goofing off at work, with unlimited time during the day to answer posts.
Since I wasn’t given the opportunity to go to college, can you tell me how much a month the government expects you to pay on those loans?
(I take it that the parents couldn’t be bothered to have a college fund)
I wouldn’t be surprised if that is what they do, which of course isn’t the best way. There are many people whose actual value isn’t reflected by their 1040. As well as those who do not file at all.
When did you ever explain what college educated professionals are spending their money on?
So. The only difference you see is that more people will be covered by the taxpayers, and the government will have more healthcare to administer (or farm out to private companies)? Since you see to have no problem with there being caps on treatment, which is what is happening today. If so, why is it not a better idea to fix some of the problems with the current system, rather than create something completely new, and expensive?

Do you all just not understand the question or are you afraid to answer it? The question being - what condition were these families in prior to the medical problem? Did they have any reserves? What was their debt to income ratio?
There is a video on YouTube that is a talk given by a bankruptcy expert that seems to indicate that the single most common reason that people have to declare bankruptcy is children. I haven’t been able to find a transcript of the speech and will be unable to get to a place with WiFi until Monday so I can transcribe it myself as well as provide screen captures of her charts, so that cite will need to wait. But as I have been saying all along, it appears that most bankruptcies are caused by choices people make, not the Fickle Finger of Fate.
BTW, this “More than 90% of medically related bankruptcies were caused by high medical bills.” seems like kind of a duh statement. Obviously medically related bankruptcies are going to be caused by high bills, right?
OK, this has to win some award for stupid. Are there any jobs out there (legal ones) where one can avoid paying taxes to the feds? I thought not.
Which of course, you don’t know. I could die tomorrow (and yes I’m aware that will bring on even more jokes. Whoo pee). No one has posted what the interest on $90,000 would be, so I don’t know how long I would have to live to take out all of the money I put in. So? When did I ever say that I have any problem with government funds going to those who have lived a responsible, contributing life? That’s right - never.
Ah. To you, self sufficient is working illegally? Not that I have ever said anything about being self-sufficient, but it is interesting that you suggest I simply fail to pay taxes.
I sure as hell did, and I notice you’ve completely ignored the rest of my post.
But if you feel I’ve misrepresented your position (which is a little hard to swallow, as I’ve quoted you in my replies), then by all means - do clarify.
Again - I’ve no problem with people who make a shitload more than most people (such as myself). What sticks in my craw is the notion that somehow, you are doing all of us a favor in doing so. That may be the case in some instances (e.g. Bill Gates), but certainly not in all.
Ha! Can’t take the heat, so you remind me that I said I wouldn’t bash your dumb fat ass anymore. Well, I reserve the right to answer your inanity at the time and place of my choosing. Live in fear, Rubystreak, I may be just around the corner!
