It’s pure projection. When Trump and/or his toadies run out of rehearsed lies and “shoot from the hip” they go all to shit.

I am endlessly amused by the charge (mostly from the right) that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is a “pea-brain” or stupid, or a twit.
Think what you will of her politics, but she is very far from stupid. She defeated a 10-term congressman, chair of the House Democratic Caucus and boss of the Queens County Democratic organization, and likely successor to Nancy Pelosi as Speaker, mostly because he too thought she was a “pea-brain.”
Even Nancy Pelosi underestimated her. “But those are districts that are solidly Democratic. This glass of water would win with a D next to its name in those districts,” she said.
Which misses the point entirely. Yes, of course the Democrat won that district (the district in which I grew up and lived half my adult life, so I know it quite well), just like a Democrat would easily win Pelosi’s district.
But that’s not the point. The point is that she won the primary over an opponent who everyone thought was invincible.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is very, very far from being a “pea-brain.”
It’s endlessly amusing to me how terrified the right (and no few liberals, too) are of her.
Edit: And what the f** * is so terrible about her questions being “rehearsed”? She did her homework. Would that more members of Congress, from both parties, would do the same.
They hate her because she doesn’t kiss their asses.
Or let them fondle hers.
AOC is young, smart, and very charismatic and that is a dangerous combination in politics. People are right to be afraid of her. She may not have a lot of clout now but give it a few terms.
I don’t agree with a lot of her politics but I sure respect her.
Perhaps the House’s Minority Leader should do more rehearsing.
