MS = Moldy Strawberries

The common mold found on supermarket strawberries is a gray mold called Botrytis cinerea. It is not really harmful to eat this mold, but it is kind of gross just the same.

MT - Muffy Tepperman (played by Jami Gertz) was the main antagonist on the 80’s TV show Square Pegs.

MW = Martha Washington, wife of Pres. George Washington, who never lived in the White House. Martha’s first husband, Daniel Parke Custis, however, had a large estate and the Custis home was known as the White House. He died when she was 25, and they had four children.

MX - Missile eXperimental, the common name for the LGM-118 Peacekeeper, an ICBM announced by Reagan toward the end of the cold war. It was designed to carry multiple warheads(it was a MIRV), but after the signing of the START II treaty only one warhead would be allowed to be carried by any single missile. The last MX was decommissioned in 2005.

NA = Netherland Antilles (or Dutch Antilles), later Curaçao and Dependencies. All the island territories that belonged to the Netherlands Antilles remain part of the kingdom of the Netherlands today, although the legal status of each differs. Two of the Better known islands are Aruba and Curaçao.

NG = National Geographic. It was during the tenure of Society President Alexander Graham Bel****l and editor Gilbert H. Grosvenor (GHG) that the significance of illustration was first emphasized, in spite of criticism from some of the Board of Managers who considered the many illustrations an indicator of an “unscientific” conception of geography. NH = November Hurricane

While hurricanes are rare in November, they do occur. The 1932 Cuba Hurricane is the only recorded Atlantic category 5 storm ever in November. It killed over 3000 when it struck Cuba on November 9 of that year.

NI - Norfolk Island is a small island in the Pacific Ocean located between Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia. The island is part of the Commonwealth of Australia; and, together with two neighboring islands, forms one of Australia’s external territories.
