If you search for any item on the Amazon website or app, it will produce results with items sold by amazon and also by third party vendors.
You can then manually select the category for the item and then again manually select the Seller to be Amazon. You have to do this individually for each search.
I understand why Amazon does this and would like to keep that discussion out of this thread.
My question: Is there an app or extension, that I can use to search for products sold by Amazon only ? (Basically the app will automate the manual steps highlighted above)
I don’t know if such a thing exists but the Amazon Product Advertising API has a search method that allows you to query for products on the basis of a lot of filters, including the “Amazon only” one. So it should be possible. Amazon provides the programmatic support for what you’re asking for; it’s just a question of whether anyone has written that software.
Not sure how to use that - can i set it once and be done for all future searches ?
No, those are data services for a program to use to do Amazon product searches, not something a user can direcly use.
I was addressing the unasked but related question of whether what you’re asking for isneven possible, not what you specifically asked (does it exist).
