These people are recruiting for a cause, and have been for many years. The weakness in your logic is because you view this as a nice, you versus them, easily definied situation. It isn’t. The people looking to do this do not fit into the neat little pigeonholes you’d like to create. If you profile, they will take advantage of it. And in the meantime you will incite further bad feeling and accusations of anti-arab policies.
