Apparently, people (at least kinda) like my music

So, most anyone on here who has written a song will probably be familiar with the multitude of places on the internet that invite you to submit them for contests/reviews/whatever. For this one, I submitted my recordings, and ended up in the top 100 (91st place to be exact - which is not good enough that A&R reps would begin beating down my door, but is good enough that I can be happy about it). Yay Me!

(Now, I don’t know how many people submitted songs for this round of reviews, so I don’t know exactly how excited to be - clearly, 91st out of 20,000 would be much more impressive than, say, 91st out of 103)

Anyway, the site is pretty cool because you get reviews of your music, so you can find out what people think is cool and what they think is uncool.

Don’t have any other point other than celebration, but I figured Cafe Society is the best place to post this…

That’s very cool. Congratulations! A friend of mine does the same thing, but not with tha tmuch skill. Do you have any wavs or music files? I’d love to hear some of it for myself.

Oh you bet I do. I didn’t include any links in the OP because my focus wasn’t on promoting myself so much as celebrating. But, since someone asked, let me go ahead and shamelessly promote myself for a minute. The best place to check out my music is here:

Some are recorded better than others… some are performed better than others… but they should all sound like me…
(of course, by posting that link, I completely throw anonymity out the window, but I guess I don’t really care. C’mon - I’m a performer, I always love an audience)

Anyway, to ramble further - the reviews are superbly interesting to read. Some are glowing, some are scathing. Some, for some reason, thought I was a woman. But I love reading them. The nice comments give me the warm fuzzies; the less than nice ones help me figure out where I can improve things…

Best Dopername/profession ever!

Welcome to our little corner of the 'net. If you can Dope as good as you play guitar and sing, we might think about keeping you.
