Count Chocula and Franken Berry are released for Halloween (although I’m not sure I saw them last Halloween), but the others, Boo Berry, Fruit Brute, and Fruity Yummy Mummy are very rarely seen.

I remember wondering how hard it is to recreate something like that. Are all the ingredients (such as they are) still available, and is there any special equipment neded to produce it? For that matter, who still has the recipe? Is there an archive somewhere that includes the instructions on how to make all the products that have disappeared off store shelves?

General Mills regularly releases Count Chocula, Frankenberry, and Boo Berry every Halloween. I remember in 2013 they also released Fruit Brute (cherry flavored) and Yummy Mummy (orange flavored). I bought boxes of all five.

TBH, no idea if they’re still made under that name, or made under a different name now, or if they only exist on the second-hand nearly-antique market. But they seem to be available on-line various places.

We had one when I was a larva, and I wish I had one now.

Back on topic: Buckley’s Mixture. Imagine a flavour like mothballs dissolved in PineSol. (They apparently are in the midst of a voluntary recall because the seal on the bottle might fall inside and be swallowed. Considering the taste, you might choke and not notice. But it will clear your congestion!)

Buckley’s Mixture is no longer available in the United States. I found this out when I was needing some a couple years ago, and couldn’t find it. :mad: Yes, it’s vile-tasting (I almost threw it up the first time I tried it) but it WORKS.
