We got a lot rain yesterday here in Delaware and my borther’s basement flooded with about a foot of water. His washer and dryer were down there and they got wet. We eventually got them up out of the water and onto a table, but now we’re wondering whether or not they are ruined.

Anyone have any tips before we go plugging the dryer into that 240V plug?

To play it safe, you might want to have a repairman out to check them out. At the very least wait several days before you plug them in and try them to give them a chance to dry out thoroughly. It’s always best to err on the side of caution with this sort of thing.
