I figure that the country is in trouble when you can’t tell satire from reality.
Example: Burger King sells 23 karat gold plated Pokemon cards that you are to buy for your children as collector’s item.
If someone had explained this to me six months ago, I’d think it was a joke. And a rather outlandish one at that. But it’s real.
What other signs have you seen that the lines between satire and reality are blurring? I need to feed my cynicism.
