In Richard F. Burton’s version of “1001 Arabian Nights”, Scheherazade poses a logic puzzle. Does anyone remember what the puzzle was? Does anyone know the answer?
Dude, the edition I have is like 3,000 pages. Can you set the scene a little more clearly?
Sorry, all I remember is that it had something to do with an X number of ferrules and an X number of holes. It might have been something like “How do you fit 2 ferrules into 4 (parallel?/uneven?) holes?”
According to this site, we can narrow it down to what section the puzzle may be in, but my copy of the Arabian Nights is 400 miles away.
I found this by putting ‘1001 arabian nights’ into a google search. Is what you’re looking for here?
