Archive of American Television - EMMY TVLEGENDS

I haven’t gone looking for other threads relating to YouTube’s TVLEGENDS’s Channel and/or its parent site but I would like to share how much I have enjoyed the hours I’ve spent hearing (in their own words) some of the really entertaining things about people like:

Saved from the dreaded “0 replies” family of threads.

And what’s so dreadful about the 0 Replies Family? I’m a member, and I take umbrage at your description.

If you’ll make a list of your “0 replies” threads that you don’t want tampered with, I’ll be sure to stay away from them.

Somehow, I had the foolish idea that somebody might have an opinion on this topic. Over 600 have proved me wrong.

We’ve all been too busy watching videos to reply.

Now that would be a strong reward for the thread! Any particular one(s) I didn’t already mention?

I see two choices for opinions – “looks interesting, thanks!” or “not interested”. Maybe a third – “I’m too busy watching cat videos, thanks anyway”.

As late as this morning I have had occasion to offer responses to various threads dealing with actors’ histories and such by way of links to the YouTube clips with their interviews. This morning’s has been to Don Knotts.

Seeing that this thread went to sleep almost immediately I don’t expect a new rush of activity, but I do think it’s worth a bump to see.

If you have explored other interviews, beyond the ones I listed above, and have found them valuable, please share which ones they were.

A while back I watched Bob McGrath (Bob from Sesame Street) and Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers). Both had very looong interviews but I have a big place in my heart for both shows, so I enjoyed the interviews immensely.

I see now that there’s a whole bunch of folks talking about Sesame Street, but I really enjoyed Bob because he has been there forever and is not a muppetter and not a behind-the-scenes person.

Thanks for reminding me of this, I will bookmark it this time!
