Did the saucepan have a lid on it? And how heavy is the saucepan? (e.g., a heavy one like Le Creuset would take longer to heat than a lighter one)
Oh, and a stovetop kettle on my ancient electric stove heated to boiling in about 3.5 minutes.
In this particular case, it was one of my smaller Lagostina pots with the lid on. About 2 L capacity, I think.
Darn, and I thought MY kettle was fast… 3m 15s, 230V 1.8KW.
And I, er, just wanted a cup of tea. You know, random tea cravings and suchlike.
