Are alien bugs building an army in my clothes hamper?

The title of the thread may be misleading. I already know the answer, which is: Of course they are.

The better question would be what kind of alien bugs are building a nest for their army in my clothes hamper? I found a crapload of little brown cylindrical things in my clothes hamper, and on the carpet next to it. I grabbed one with a paper towel and smashed it up – gross! It was crunchy and whiteish/yellowish goo came pouring out. What did I expect was going to happen? Anyway, whatever was growing a nest in my apartment, I wanted no part of so I gathered the rest up (I hope) and threw them outside. Now the army is elsewhere, and thankfully not anywhere near my shorts, but I’m still curious as to what on Earth (or Mars!) those were.

It was hard to get a picture of them because they’re so small, and I’m a bad photographer with a cheap camera. I had to get really close to photograph them. Without the flash, it was blurry and dark, and with it, the light was so bright that I couldn’t see anything.

This and this are all I got. What are these, and how soon before the entire state is taken over by their clan?

Thanks.

Look like fly pupae.

I second that. They like the warm, moist areas of a clothes hamper. They prefer nutrient rich places, like manure, but if you sweat a lot or leave lots of skin cells on your clothes, that may be all they need.

You should have isolated some specimens in a safe environment, wait for them to moult. Then you need find out their weaknesses by lots of cruel testing. Anything necessary to aid in the coming invasion. Also, watch out for the brain bug.
