The column “Are Bananas Radioactive?” greatly understates the case.
In fact, all organically grown, non-GMO, gluten-free food is radioactive.

No doubt, but I’ll bet that all GMO, glutenful food grown in laboratory vats is even worse.
Since the subject is radioactivity, I’d take that bet.
Depends. Are the laboratory vats at the bottom of the Homestake mine?
Not sure of the model/design of Una’s radiac meter. We used a model called AN/PDR something - it’s been a few decades. We had to monitor ammo shipments of DU (depleted uranium) penetrators for radiation emission until it got so stupid, the powers called it off except in case of physical damage. As she did, you take a background reading in the area/room, then a reading in close proximity to the ammo, and determine the contribution of the ammo (x-y=z). We’d screw around and turn the detector up at the flourescent lights. Those babies were killing us. And the sun, when you’re outside, just a nuclear inferno.
Carbon-14?
Powers &8^]
I kept waiting for the column to discuss radioactive spiders. After all, those are much more significant than radioactive bananas. That is, unless Bananaman gets his powers from eating them.
PS I didn’t even know there was a Bananaman until I googled before posting this. Not surprised, though.
