Are beans "the perfect fruit" ,"the magical fruit" or "good for your heart"?

It was “The Musical Fruit.” See Bart Mozart’s opera of that name.

In my household, they were good for your heart, with Paintcharge’s last line.

Beans were “good for your heart”, thus the advice “So eat your beans with every meal.”

Oooh, not to hijack, but . . . recipe?

PM me!

Musical, here, and our last line was ‘So why not eat beans with every meal?’.

I’ve actually never heard the ‘good for your heart’ variation.

Actually, the more often you have beans in your diet, the less you will toot. Your body gets used to them. Or at least that is what I’ve found.

And if you haven’t been doing well eating fiber lately, go eeeeasy on too many from the beginning. Cramps can accompany all that tooting.

Yes. I learned it exactly this way.

Beans, beans are good for your heart.
The more you eat, the more you fart.
The more you fart, the better you feel.
So eat your beans with every meal.

I didn’t care much for euphemisms. I always preferred to come right out and say “fart.” Even when farting was never discussed on TV. George Carlin referred to this in his “seven words you can’t say on TV” routine. You couldn’t say "fuck,’ but you could talk about fucking in a roundabout way. But back then, you couldn’t even make references to lower intestinal gas, never mind say the word “fart.” (Dammit, Ed! What happened, did you die? Smells like a Clydesdale down at that end. )
