The title pretty much sums it up. The spinal nerves come in pairs, one to handle each side of the body. Are the cranial nerves generally thought to be paired in the same way, or are they thought of as single nerves that branch to both sides?

that shows the nerves. It only lists one name for individual nerves but you can clearly see that the nerves are paired on either side.
I believe the accessory nerve is incorrectly pointed to on that picture
Another way to convince yourself is to note that the cranial nuclei are paired which clearly wouldn’t be the case if they were single nerves that branched. Here is a nice depiction.
