Are Holly Berries Edible?

I ask because I remember seeing an obscure French (Alsatian)liquere (Eau de Vie de Houx), which is made from holly berries. So I would assume the berries are edible…what do they taste like?

Of course she is! Everything in this room is eatable, even Halle Berry’s eatable! But that is called “cannibalism,” my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies.
