I once subscribed to an investment advisory newsletter. i got some interesting general advice, but nothing earthshaking. Now i am being bombarded with offers form “The Motley Fool”, “Valuline”, and many other advisor services. My question: do any of these services provide good information (with which you can achieve high returns)? Or, is it simply a case of hype-why would anyone with such good information want to sell it? It would be simpler to just ivest your own cash, and get those great returns, without sharing the information?
Has anyone used “Motley Fool”? What is your experience?
The Hulbert Financial Digest tracks various financial newsletters on the performance of their recommendations. Many local libraries have a number of financial newsletters in their periodical collections, including the Hulbert newsletter.
Unless someone wanders into this thread bearing conflicting statistical analyses of the quality of the letters, this is not really going to be much of a debate.
Off to IMHO.
