The head gear of many Afghani’s seems very similar to the turban of the Sikh’s, except that it has a somewhat more flattened profile. Was this headgear around prior to the genesis of Islam ? Is this headgear “prefabricated” so that all one does is wear it as a hat or do these guys go through the motions like tieing a Windsor Knot. I ask this, because some of these headgear appear far more “artistic” and elaborate than others. And what do you call the Afghan headgear?
