Are NHL players allowed to wear heart monitors/

Wouldn’t this be a great tool for the coaches? They could optimize shift changes and play their fitter players more at the end of the game.

BTW should be wear not where in the title

Heart rate monitors are more of a training tool. There is some use in a long distance race but hockey is more of a sprint type of effort. The coaches, I’m sure, are very aware of how long each player is capable of.

Fixed. I am also moving this to the Game Room from GQ.
