Are people to willing to pull life support, revisited.

Bringing back the old http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=354825&page=1&pp=50
in it I argued that we where to willing to “pull the plug” on people and was argued with from top to bottom in regards to the Haleigh Poutre case. Now 2 years later I can come in here and ask again, are we too willing to pull life support?

I argued until I was blue in the face that doctors are not in total agreement on what can and cannot happen to the brain. DtC and others argued that I was wrong and she was a vegetable and nothing can change that. Her improvements where nothing but apparently they where.
Miracle? Or a sign that sometimes the human body can heal itself in ways (the brain especially) that medical science has not caught up with yet?
