Are rug retailers universally sleazy, and why?

No really, why do they always YELL IN THEIR TV ADS? Why are the rugs always of dubious quality? Why are their warehouses constantly burning down? Is there no such thing as a classy, trustworthy rug store? Rich people have to get their rugs from somewhere, right?

The classy places don’t advertise on TV. The classy places rely on word of mouth. Especially with interior decorators. I know when I remodeled a few rooms in my house the decorator had suggestions of where we might find stuff too our taste.

Some home depots set up rug tents over the summer. Those were some good rug tents.

The good rug dealers I’ve dealt with are always kinda off the beaten path and largely unknown outside of word of mouth or interior decorators. TV advertising is kind of a waste for companies that sell superior products. ‘This beautiful rug is on sale for only 2800 dollars!!’ just doesn’t get customers in the doors compared to the guys selling 50 different rugs 100 bucks a piece.

Home Depot makes tents out of rugs?

No no, they were red tents: rouge tents. Spelling people!
