As far as I can glean from the plethora of crank sites, they are supposedly electromagnetic force weapons, capable of projecting stationary or fast-mofing ‘bubbles’ of (some kind of electromagnetic ‘disruption’). Their main use appears to be in connection with the manufacture of intricate crop circles, this assertion alone is enough for me.
