I’m really concerned that people living paycheck to paycheck, who are suddenly without jobs because their workplaces are closed aren’t going to see any other way out.
I’m also concerned that a lot of the people stocking up on everything under the sun are going into debt to do so, and aren’t going to be working, so for a while are just going to be paying off the interest. What are they going to do if this isn’t just a month, or six weeks, but two or three months?
I’ve read how in the last few years there has been a rise in deaths of despair, especially among white people, not sure what the exact numbers are without googling.
There is talk of the government cutting a check to people for $1000, that probably would help people for a month anyway, if they still have a little income or savings, which most Americans don’t have much in savings.
I don’t know how much can really be done, I see a lot of homeless and mentally ill people who live horrible, horrible lives that don’t kill themselves, whatcha gonna do?
