I don’t believe many of Obama’s initiatives are getting off the ground in a way that’s satisfying to his supporters.
The e-mail is sheer lunacy. There’s effectively no chance Obama will resign, absent some dramatic scandal, of which there is… effectively no chance of happening. Obama is not a crook; he’s a decent guy. I disagree strongly with his ideas concerning the proper role of government. But that’s it. He’s the Prez, he’s legitimately the Prez, and he’ll be the Prez until Jan 20, 2013 at the earliest.
Said it before, say it again: let’s just raise their rent.
Sorry. It’s just an email. It doesn’t matter.
It’s just like when a dog gets the taste of human blood. You can’t break him of it after that. You have to put him down. There’s no other way. Sorry, Canada, we have to do this. Now hold still, this is for your own good.
This. I’m mildly surprised Canadians even have to deal with this particular brand of crazy.
Sorry, guys. He probably imported it from here.
Is this the wrong time to ask if you could ship us some poutine?
This sentence is confusing me - what riches does the US have that Canada doesn’t have?
That was exactly where I stopped reading, too.
Does that mean I’ll get socialized health care? Because I could get behind that.
I vaguely remember hearing of this guy before, but he’s nowhere on Canadian’s radar, and his writing reads like that of a crank’s. By and large, Canadians still like Obama.
Howard Galganov is an trolling, self-indulgent self-promoting asshole, and is in a teeny, tiny minority in Canada. He spouts illogical gibberish about a wide variety of topics.
Obama is very well liked by the vast majority of Canadians.
No poutine on the west coast. How about smoked salmon?
Time to fire up Gordon Sinclair’s The Americans as an antidote, huh?
This.
Never dignify spam by distributing it further.
Additionally, I would suggest that the OP put away the broad brush he uses when taking the ranting of an isolated publicity seeking lunatic, and converting that to what “Canadians” are thinking.
Otherwise, I could ask “are the Americans right to compare Canadian patriotism to that of The 1936 Nazis?”
Instead of more properly: “Is Gil LeBreton a clueless idot and a poor loser or what?”
Please do not make veiled threats you have no intention of following through on. We already have somebody who does that.
Isn’t the West Coast of Canada more known for smoking something else?
Sure, but smoked beaver just isn’t going to catch on.
I came into this thread certain - certain - that it would be asking if it’s fair that canadians are deriding America’s health care problems (and perhaps other social problems too). To find that Canada as a whole was being painted as right-wing relative to america (and mocking us therefrom) - well, I dunno about you but my mind boggles.
Wasn’t that the symbolism of the torch? Four crossed doobies, all lit?
Its good for you. As a point of mental hygiene, I try to insure that my mind is boggled at least once every day. Usually, this can be accomplished by a cursory reading of the days news. Should this fail, I have other means at my disposal, and stand ready to apply them as stern duty demands.
Yeah, well, SOMEBODY was smoking some high-quality stuff when they planned that closing ceremony…
