I was just watching an Anthony Bourdain travel clip about Lisbon. The streetcars in that city seem to be very small and narrow.
Are they the world’s smallest?
No. At least not by track size. It’s a900 mm gauge which is pretty narrow but not the narrowest. Looks like the same trolleys used in the United States at the turn of the last century.
I rode the Lisbon streetcar system for two years: it only seems extremely narrow because many of the streets are extremely narrow.
