i wasting away my life the other dya by just thinking about the most random thoughts. and i wondered if there are any relatives of infamous dictators and what kind of hell the would go through each day.
I know Stalin had a daughter who defected to the U.S. years ago. She had a child, too, whom I believe was born after she came to the U.S.
Mussolini had kids, too. I believe one of them was an actor or actress.
Hitler had no direct descendents.
Of the top of my head, didn’t a decendent of Mussolini run for the Italian Assembly recently?
Yes she did. An unfortunately a search here at work led me to some less than savory web sites.
This isn’t unsavory, by the way. Except for being Canadian.
I misremembered the actor thing – I was thinking of Vittorio Mussolini, who was a film critic, producer and director.
Stalin’s daughter’s name was Svetlana Alliluyeva. She did have the one daughter I remembered, post defection. And she had a couple of kids before she defected, too. Stalin had two sons, in addition to Svetlana.
This old thread discusses Hitler’s relatives at some length and there’s a Cecil column on the subject.
Romano Mussolini, the son who was a jazz musician and father of Alessandra, only died just last year.
Alessandra Mussolini

Hitler left illegitimate kids. For the sake of people who don’t share in Adolf’s sins, please consider letting that drop.
You didn’t ask about Sadaam Hussein, but AFAIK he’s got 2 daughters.
You what, know ? Is this Hitler left illegitmate kids in an urban legend sense, or did I miss something ?
On the OP, this is Adolf Hitler’s grand nephew, son of William Patrick Hitler :-

I believe he’s also on an official US government memorial, commerating Treasury agents who died on duty. (Yes, I did wonder about whether it was appropriate to violate his anonymity, but that page is linked from William Hitler’s wikipedia page :- it’s not much of a secret anymore).
I don’t know if it’s true, but I’ve hear that before WWII there were 2 dozen Hitlers in the NYC phone book. After the war there were none.

Aside from odd claims that Adolf Hitler sired any children,(which is, itself, a factual claim that can be addressed as such), this thread seeks actual facts.
I’m sending it to General Questions.

My wife is a rather close relative to Mussolini’s former Son in law who married Mussolini’s oldest daughter and was later executed. My wife has the same maiden name.
I can’t google for a cite at work.
I’ll need to address this later.
As I recall, though, one child was sired during WW1.
He was French.
I’ve read one or two novels that included Hitler’s illegitimate offspring from WWI, but I’ve never heard of it being treated as a fact.
It isn’t. Hitler left no kids, legitimate or otherwise, from all I’ve read.
You’re presumably thinking of the claims by and on behalf of Jean-Marie Loret. The entry on him in the German version of Wikipedia has a fair amount of detail.
There really doesn’t appear much evidence at all and virtually nobody has been convinced. Kershaw, for instance, dismisses the story in a footnote (Hitler 1889-1936: Hubris, Penguin, 1998, p635, n116) in terms of its “extreme unlikeliness”.
According to Wiki Mussolini’s grandaughter is a openly fascist, anti-gay, member of the European parliment. It doesn’t directly quote her as anti-semtic, but it’s implied. what a world.
And what of the Japanese leaders?
Well, it’s not hard to find out information about Hirohito’s family. Here’s an article about Tojo’s granddaughter and her family:
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Japan/GK12Dh04.html
Prince Konoe has at least two living grandsons. The older grandson is Morihiro Hosokawa, who was himself Prime Minister of Japan in 1993-94, until he resigned due to personal scandal. The younger is Konoe Tadateru, who married the current Emperor’s cousin, and was the vice president of the Japanese Red Cross. They have one son.
Which other Japanese leaders are you curious about?
Stalin also had a son named Yakov. Stalin said he would arrest all families of Soviet POWs because only “malicious traitors” would get captured by the Nazis. But then Yakov was arrested. The Nazis offered a prisoner exchange, only for Stalin to say “I have no son Yakov.”
