I wouldn’t do that myself. But I later would have gone to some of the AI web sites and tried this:
“Are there any cases where a Canadian husband and wife were murdered in California?”
And I just did that (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity).
I guess the alleged uncle and aunt could have not had Canadian nationality. But the AI’s I checked gave borderline cases, and none come close to that story. And as you say, anything close would have been big news.
As to why a certain number of Canadians like Trump, I think some people are born with authoritarian instincts.
