Endoscopic transthoracic sympathectomy. It is also used to treat facial blushing; it completely eliminates facial blushing as well as sweating from the neck up. The main side effect however is increased (compensatory) sweating over the rest of the body. For people with severe social phobia the ability to interact with people without blushing is well worth it.

Yes perhaps justifiable for extreme blushing, but I think the risk of side effects is there… Headaches… or being prone to heat stroke symptoms…
The blood flow in the scalp altered so as to cool the BRAIN, and interfering with “sympathetic” like that may be a problem.
