Yes, I’m glad his life is good now, but that’s not a trade-off I’d make voluntarily!
I’ve heard that life in prison can lower your lifespan considerably. I know one of the West Memphis Four had serious health issues when he was finally released. Money is nice, and I wouldn’t turn it down, but I wouldn’t accept it in advance for many possible scenarios.
I wouldn’t want to live in any big city, and I never want to live in Florida ever again nor would I live in Texas. I wouldn’t want to live in any mountains - I like proximity to the coast.
Honestly, I can’t think of any place other than where I am that I would prefer, altho a waterfront estate on the Chesapeake Bay might tempt me.

Yeah the answer is completely different if it’s “Would you go to prison…” rather than having to live in Texas.
But the answer to both can still be, “not for all the money in the world.”
