Are there any good biographies on N.W.A. (rap group)

The rap group, not the wrestling group.

Any good bios on them? I just saw the movie and really liked it. But I don’t see an official or unofficial NWA biography in amazon.

On my phone so I won’t post a lot of links, but here are the search results I got searching “Straight Outta Compton” in Books on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=n%3A283155%2Ck%3AStraight+outta+compton&keywords=Straight+outta+compton&ie=UTF8&qid=1440120391

I haven’t read any so can’t make informed recommendations.
There’s a “book”? about Easy-E (it says “paperback” but it also says LA Weekly- is it a collection of articles from LA Weekly compiled in book form? No details).
Anyway, on the page for the Easy-E book, one of the suggested books is a bio if Dr. Dre. That should definitely be good for you.

There’s a book called “Feud” all about the rise and fall of Gangsta Rap.

There’s a bio of Death Row Records.

On the second page of search results, and this may be of most interest to you, there’s a book about Ruthless Records …written by Jerry Heller himself.
I loved the movie. I thought it was great. I supplemented it by reading the Wiki pages for NWA, the album, Dre and E and Cube, and the various pages that I followed links to in the course of my reading. That was plenty of supplemental reading for me- I read before going to see the movie and it made for a better experience for me. Still, Wiki + the movie was enough for me. If you find a good book, bump this thread to let me know.

Side note:
I saw the movie opening night with a full audience at the movie theater closest to the City of Compton. An excellent viewing experience!
Currently there is no movie theater actually IN the City of Compton, but I was at a movie theater just two miles across the city line. That was the best I could do.
