I know that there are all kinds of models, depending upon what part of the anatomy needs to be displayed. but are there agencies that specialize in UGLY people as models? Think about it…you are advertising a new line of body jewelry (pins, bolts, etc.0 and do you want a very pretty model? Or a bulldog-looking one?
has anyone ever seen an ugly model in an ad?
A friend of mine in advertising needed a “strange looking midget” (her words). She contacted the agencies she deals with and quickly had in her possesion a stack of 8x10s that would curdle milk. Can’t mention the product, but look for it on TV in the next 10 - 12 months.
I think most models are pretty ugly, personally. 
But I do know that advertising agencies have different concepts for different products. You don’t see Heidi Klum scrubbing the floor with Lysol; You see a 30-something woman, pretty but not gorgeous. Products are geared toward certain audiences and having a really beautiful woman isn’t always the best way to market items.
