Are there any movies where Willie Nelson acts but doesn't sing?

I’m hoping there are two or three out there.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me

Half Baked. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t sing in that.

I don’t believe he sings in “The Electric Horseman” (at least not that I recall)

Also he does not sing in “Thief”

How about the “Dukes of Hazard” movie? Myself, I have not been able to suffer watching the whole movie, so I do not know if Willie actually sings in it.

Barbarosa?

This. He plays the lead in this excellent western directed by Fred Schepisi. Even Gary Busey is good.

I’m recalling him in at least one TV episode where he did not play a singer nor sing.

Did he sing in Wag the Dog?

Nelson has a nonsinging cameo at the end of Beerfest.

Barbarosa, as others have mentioned. Although I can’t say he doesn’t sing, but I don’t remember him singing in it. His acting was damn enjoyable in that.

He guest starred in a Miami Vice episode where he was also very good.

Willie is quite an enjoyable actor in my opinion. Another singing who could really act was Francis Albert Sinatra.

He was great in “Thief”, although it was a small role. He stole his scenes with James Caan - no mean feat.

Willie is a very good actor, in my opinion. According to IMDB, he’s had over 30 acting roles in film and TV.

But he does have that great line about a girl who can “suck the chrome off of a trailer hitch”…
