I’ve never seen anything else like a Zagnut bar.
Chick-o-Stick. And if you’re lucky enough to live near Bloomer Candy, their Coconut Crunches (or Toasted Logs) are the same, only better.
I don’t think anyone makes them any longer but my favorite candy growing up were 7-up bars. The originals had a big nut in the middle, but later on they eliminated the nut and they just wern’t the same.
7-up without the nut, can’t seem to find the ones with the nut. 7-up (scroll down a little)
I used to be able to buy Alberts’ Ice Cubes which are small chocolate cubes with Hazelnut oil in them. Very delicious and unique.
Creme Eggs? I don’t think I’ve seen that sickly sweet gooey filling duplicated anywhere.
Or Kinder Eggs for that matter?
There’s at least one imitator, which is actually closer to the eggs I remember from when I was a kid than Cadbury’s are, now.
The format of Lik-M-Aid/Fun Dip is pretty unusual, even if the ingredients (mostly sugar) aren’t.
Tastes sweet, and like perfume. (in a good way!) It’s soft and grainy.
While researching my Nut Goodie link, I discovered the Seven Up was made by the same company (Pearson’s) - and it is gone, probably forever:
Looks like a Swizzels Matlow Double Dip (also available in Triple Dip format)
Any other products like a Walnut Whip anywhere?
I never saw another candy bar quite like a Rocky Road. A slab of marshmallow, covered with a very soft chocolate coating, with tiny morsels of minced nuts on top.
Toffifay? As described, “caramel cups containing nougat and a hazelnut, topped with a chocolate button.” (Dark chocolate, I think, and about the only dark chocolate I’ll willingly eat.)
Unique Pretzel Bakery Inc. makes pretzel shells. It’s basically a hollow-out pretzel. Very tasty.
A local store carried them for a while. Haven’t see them lately.
Oh my gawd, I haven’t thought of Seven Ups in decades! Funny, I loved those things, even though I generally avoid almost half of the segments in a box of chocolates.
Are Toffifay extinct?
Now I want Toffifay. I saw them a few years ago back in Ohio. No idea if they are still around.
How about a Sugar Daddy? I’m guessing there are other things like it, but I’ve never seen one.
They’re still for sale in PA.
