Are there any truly unique snacks/candy/chocolates?

Sugar Daddy

What I came in to post. Horrible stuff, but my Mum loves them.

On a similar note, Boy From Mars loves these violet-flavoured sweets which we can only get in Italy. Even more revolting that the musk ones, if that’s possible. They are more gummy than the Parma Violets, but I suspect the flavour could be the same.

What about Pineapple Lumps?

Bigger than that - more like the size of Jaffas.

I know Kit Kats per se won’t qualify, but Japan has an amazingly unique variety. I’ve tried the wasabi-flavor (really), which a friend brought back, and they’re actually good. I know they have pancake-flavored and others. This seems like a good place to mention it.

Botan Rice Candy

Bonamo Turkish Taffy

Yes, it goes well with a Chick-o-Stick, and brings me back to my childhood.

As far as my mother was concerned, serving the two together for dinner was fulfillment of her parental duty to provide a well-rounded meal.

Walnut Whip?

I see it’s Rowntrees oldest brand

Does anyone but Goetze’s make Caramel Creams/cow tails? I love those things and around me it doesn’t matter who sells them it’s all made by the same company.

flake bar.

They just dissolve in your mouth, so good!

Is there any other rosewater-flavoured chewing gum in the world besides Thrills? (Motto: It still tastes like soap!)

I think this is the company that had caramel apple sticks ca. 1995 that I really liked.

*Has the idea of chocolate-covered ants or chicken and chocolate sauce ever put you off the good stuff? Well, in the early days of chocolate bars, when they were first unleashed on the nation in the 1920s, they couldn’t wait to cover things with chocolate. One such candy bar was the Vegetable Sandwich, which, as you may have guessed was made of chocolate covered vegetables. It’s biggest selling point? 'The solemn assurance that ‘it will not constipate’. It contained cabbage, celery, peppers and tomatoes. YUM! *

Have you ever smelled the fragrance Pink Musk? That’s the flavour of musk sticks. It’s not just a clever name.
