Are there Confederate flaggers parading in your streets?

Noticed one pick-up with a battle flag front Licence plate driving in Regina Saskatchewan today.

Last Friday I went fishing in Luray, Virginia and counted 10 flags, mostly hanging in front of shops and a few stickers on cars. The guy who played Cooter on Dukes of Hazard lives in the area and he has a business near Sperryville that flies the flag. He used to have one of the General Lee’s in front of his house too.

Well, Regina is sort of in the South … of Canada at least.

Someone broke into a construction site in Asheville and hung a confederate flag from the crane.

Bless their stupid li’l hearts.

It’s gonna take a lot of moisturizer to soothe that many red necks.

Isn’t the Confederate Flag thing a lot like the Orange Order in Northern Ireland? Those nitwits march every summer to commemorate a “long dead dutchman”-are orange flags displayed in the protestant areas these days?

Idiots in Belfast fly that flag. I’ve seen it many times.

By “that flag” do you mean the Orange Order banner or the CSA battle flag?

Huh, didn’t see the comment directly above mine. I meant the CSA Battle Flag. You also see Union Jacks, NI flags, UVF flags, etc. in far more abundance.

Ben Jones? Hunh. That’s slightly surprising. He was elected to Congress from suburban Atlanta when I was in college. As a Democrat. I voted for him, and remember him being more liberal than I had expected.

Saw a full-size one flying from the back of a pickup truck (that appeared to be stock) in Zebulon yesterday morning. He was making a right turn, and almost lost control of the truck in the process.

Yeah, he also ran for congress in Virginia as a Democrat a few years back. The DNC actually asked him to tone down his use of the confederate flag at his events.

Good thing he didn’t try to turn left; the truck and/or his head might have asploded.

Recent photo taken in Belfast.

Geez, no wonder he didn’t get elected. You’d think “don’t alienate black voters” would be a pretty fundamental rule for a Democrat running in the South.

I was at a water charges protest in Dublin today and spotted two idiots waving confederate flags.

So, did they get beat up? That is Ireland and I would think you all would take a major exception to that. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think they were told by others to stop waving them because I saw the guys later and the flags were rolled up and they bearers were looking sheepish. One of these pricks was dressed like Guy Fawkes.

Interesting… Thanks for the info.

I saw a 4WD in front of the “Tactical Advantage” store with a two-sided Confederate/Don’t Tread on Me flag on a pole attached to the bumper. This is Alabama, so the Confederate flag is common but I’ve never seen the two-sided version.
