I have found many sites that allow you to do a criminal record search online but all seem to require a fee of one sort or another. Thinking this is publically available information anway I was wondering if anyone knew of a free site that does this (run by the state or otherwise)? It would be nice to search all states but I am most interested in searching in Illinois if it makes a difference.
