I just got a new flashlight, so I’m all set. Bring it on!
Considering it’s going to be December 21 in Australia about 16 hours earlier than in New York, just keep an eye on the News in Australia.
If we start sinking into the ocean or become over run with Zombies you have 16 hours to load your guns and get your floaties on.
West Virginia wouldn’t be a bad place to bug out. It’s a state forgotten by the other 49, there’s nothing there, it’s fairly isolated and lots of hidey holes in the hollers.
I heard it will go with a whimper, contrary to expectations.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
There is a documentary about West Virginia, it is called “Deliverance”. Unless you like to “Squeal like a pig” stay far far away.

I’m surprised about all these posts claiming that people would choose to see out the end of days in North America. As far as I know, this seems like the most likely epicentre for the apocalypse, in the form of an overdue eruption of yellowstone park. Or have I got it wrong, geologists? Are there other semi-dormant mega volcanoes that could plunge the planet into years of ashy darkness?
At this point, it would seem safe to say that the answer to your question is “yes”.
You can come out now.
