You seem to be entertaining/supporting Deism, which is not the same thing as Intelligent Design, and isn’t really compatible with it.
Intelligent Design is literally just a rebrand of creationism (look up “wedge strategy”) and is anti-science by definition. There is no pro-science side to it.

How can any of those ‘intelligent design’-folks look at things like that and not go, ‘yeah, no, that doesn’t make any fucking sense whatsoever’. (“On the underside it has a transparent area of skin through which its internal organs can be seen.”; I mean, why?)
