Are women biologically incapable of appreciating the Three Stooges?

I know I used to like them. I just haven’t actually seen them in about 15 years. They just aren’t on any more.

matt_mcl:

Wait…are you saying if I’m male and don’t like the Stooges, then I’m gay?

Damn it, I didn’t need to know that right now. I can’t afford to redo my house in track lighting!

(This thread reminds me of the Cheers episode where Sam was worried that there was nothing to his life besides his interest in women. Rebecca asked him, “What about the Stooges?” Sam, misunderstanding the question, answered, “They went to Norm’s house.”)

Another male anti-Stooges guy checking in (maybe we’re all gay - ??).

I’ll tell you - here is the single most irritating sentence I’ve ever heard regarding The Three Stooges …

“Was that The Three Stooges or The Marx Brothers? I always get them mixed up.”

Oooh, doesn’t that just curdle my milk.

another female checking in- stooges are okay, but not hysterical, at least not since i was 10 years old. abbott and costello were pretty good. marx brothers still rock my world. harold lloyd was a genius!!!

Female here. I loved the Stooges when I was a kid, was lukewarm to them when I was my 20s, started loving them again in my 30s. They are almost like comfort food to me–reminds me of being a kid again, safe and warm. Plus they are hysterical! FWIW, my girlfriends loves them too. We are planning a Stooge marathon at my bachelorette pad.
