The toilet paper goes over no matter which way you hang it. The only question is does it go over from back to front or from front to back.
And although for the most part it’s not worth arguing about, the only reason for preferring a certain way that’s based at all on logic is the affect of cats. If it’s hung the so called “over” way, the whole roll ends up in a shredded pile on the floor. If it’s hung “under” it spins around nearly harmlessly, with only the outside few layers shredded.
I was a much happier person before I knew there was a website dedicated to toilet paper history.

I fold. Usually three pieces worth, folded over one another. Does the job fine. Plus our plumbing isn’t great so I cringe when I see someone threw a huge wad of toilet paper into the bowl. What do they care, they won’t be fixing it :mad:
