Are you fat and don't give a fig?

By fig I mean fuck. Well so, are you a fattie who doesn’t give a shyte about being a fatso? Well, I just realised, I am. I don’t care when I die or who foots the bill. Yowzah, fat power.

This should go well.

I’m hoping it will or I’ll have to eat some of the posters.

I am fat, and I don’t give a fuck,
but a fuck sure don’t mean very much
when your cock’s covered up
by a blubbery lump
and your woman is drowning beneath ya.

I try workouts and programs and diets
Good lord, I know how i’ve tried it
But I just can’t discard
All these buckets of lard
When a donut tastes better than carrots.

I was fat for about a year and it fucked with my head so much, I dropped the weight, got back in shape and plan on remaining that way.

I’m only 30 lbs or so too heavy now, but yes, I give a fig – it bothers me a lot. But I’m a vain motherfucker who’s always after some chick or another. So, I suppose, I don’t really care – cause I can still kick a lot of ass and chew bubblegum at the same time if some shitkicker gives me any static.

My own father said I had man-boobs, though – and his gut is bigger than mine. I wanted to fight him with knives at that moment.

Get in ma belly!

But seriously, why shouldn’t this go well? **An Gadai **isn’t insulting or even speaking for anybody (heh!) else. Is there something wrong with the sentiment espoused in the OP?

No. I care. It makes it significantly harder and more depressing to shop for clothes. It contributes to general physical discomfort such as: it’s not comfortable to cross my legs while sitting; running and cycling can make my boobs hurt no matter how good my sports bra is; it makes hot and humid that much more miserable; chub rub; it’s more to carry up the stairs and contributes to lethargy; it puts more stress on my joints making them sore; and it means I never go swimming because I cannot stand to wear a bathing suit in public.

Plus, as hard as my life has been, the things that bring me joy are activities that require a fitness level better than average, not worse. Hiking, cycling, running and playing outdoors is a lot more fun when you don’t feel like you’re going to keel over at any minute.

If a fairy came along today and could magically make me thin, I would do it.

However, I have been about the same amount of overweight for 10 years and while there were times I was able to lose pounds, they always came back and put me at about where I am now.

So, basically, I have given up. Life is too short to be worrying about food all the time (which is what I have to do to not be overweight).

(In other words, I care a little so I am slightly above not giving a fuck.)

It’s a scale.

Decide to live healthy. Eat well, excercise, live longer.

Eat what you like, sit on your ass, and die younger.

You get to choose where you want to be. I personally like my life and want to maximize the time I have left.

Kind of fat here. Don’t really care. If I get fat enough that it gets difficult to stay active, I’ll probably spend some time to work it off.

Amen. I’m fat, I know it, I see it everytime I look in the mirror. Would I like to be thin & beeautiful? Well yeah. But honestly… I enjoy food. It is one of the very few things that DOES give me pleasure. So I am not willing to give up that pleasure. And quite frankly, I am unhappy enough with my life that I wouldn’t care if it ended right this moment. BRING IT!

I am reasonably active tho… hard not to be with 5 dogs!

There’s some amount of excess poundage that doesn’t bother me, but I wouldn’t want to consider myself “fat.” As it is, I could probably stand to lose 30lbs and I’m a bit annoyed with myself. I work out 5x / week, but I eat pretty poorly.

Fat people are driving up healthcare costs considerably. All you fat people who don’t care that you are directly responsible for increased insurance premiums and greater overall costs, i have no respect for you.

Well right back at you kid.

That’s right - there are no other personal habits that increase healthcare costs. All healthcare costs went up because of all the fat, fat, fatties.

Or maybe, healthcare costs went up because of smokers too? Or maybe, healthcare costs went up because of insane end-of-life costs? Or maybe, its a combination of a whole lot of other factors, and not directly correlated with any 1 factor.

I have no respect for people that try to take a ridiculously complex issue and try and boil it down to one factor.

You can make this type of pointless argument about quite a few individual choices. One could say the same thing about people who operate motor vehicles.

I know it’s a stretch to think this way, but being overweight does not necessarily equate to poor health. Risk increases, yes, but that doesn’t default to all fat people constantly requiring medical attention. Some of us haven’t ever needed any kind of ongoing treatments and have clean checkups every year. My family runs on the large side, and aside from the usual breakdowns that come along with aging, we probably use fewer medical resources than you think.

I get it, you don’t like fat folk. At least be genuine about it and stop trying to justify your animosity.

Yup yup. I don’t smoke, drink, do drugs, spend too much money…fuck that, I’m taking my one vice.

A lot of skinny people focus on how the fat looks, as do a lot of fat people.

I don’t much care how it makes me look. What I care about is how it detracts from my health, comfort and performance. That and a coworker who sleeps with a CPAP and gets winded walking across the room has motivated me to lose substantial weight this year.
