Are you happy now?

Which of the following do you have?

(a) Life

(b) Liberty

© The pursuit of happiness

i have a and b.

c is on hold now. i had bad news about winken the wonderful this week. a rather tough time.

As a Canadian, I am not inherently entitled to any of these things, but I to have a), b) and c) is doing alright at the moment, although it sometimes is a hard chase.

How about you?

Life, and a damn splinter in my foot…

(a) Life yes, although people keep telling me to get one.

(b) Liberty more or less, depending on how you define it.

© The pursuit of happiness well, I’m pursuing it; whether I’ll ever catch it is the question.

I think I would have to say that I currently have A. B is debateable, though I certainly have a greater measure of it than many. As for C…keep in mind that you’re ostensibly entitled to the pursuit of happiness. Whether or not you manage to actually catch the damn thing is pretty much an even bet. I’ll continue my pursuit, though I can only vaguely see happiness ahead, sometimes.

Happiness is a thing that you are always pursuing, then experiencing and then pursuing again. It is not a permanent condition.

I think I lost all three in a fight with a dutchman.

(a) Life Well, I’m alive, I’m breathing. Do I have A life? Well, I’m working on it

(b) Liberty Absolutely. Except for that work thing, but that’s ok. Because I don’t have to do that. I mean, I have to, but if I wanted to go live on the street, I could, and no one would stop me.

**(c) The pursuit of happiness ** Yeah, I do. And right now, at this moment? I’m pretty dang happy.

Life
I suppose I have life, otherwise I would be in a coffin instead of answering this thread.

Liberty
I’m fifteen years old! How much liberty do you think my parents would let me have?

Pursuit of Happiness
I can pursue it, to a certain degree…but it keeps getting crushed, again and again and again.

Me? I’m a non-entitled Canadian myself as well.

(a) Anyone who answers no is lying, unless we’ve got dope-bots lurking about.

(b) Can anyone be truly free? Can we be free from fear? Can we ever be free from ourselves? - Sounds like a subject worthy of its own thread.
