We watched the Wonderfalls DVD’s just last week and it was interesting to see Jewel Staite in a very different role than Kaylee.

Jewel also makes an appearance in a Dead Like Me episode (towards the end of the first season), playing a punk rocker music-store girl who gets shagged by Mason the British male Reaper. As if fantasies about Kaylee weren’t enough for me…

As to the OP, I am actively trying to convert everyone I know to Firefly so that they will also be anticipating the movie. I went to Constantine opening night with a group. They better plan on going to Serenity with me.

Speaking of shows that have a musical episode, my wife watches 7th Heaven. Recently it had a musical episode, which really showed how bad such can be. Once More With Feeling was unbelievably fantastic in comparison.
Once More With Feeling is the Buffy musical episode. It was a 5-star episode that was easily one of the top 10 episodes.
I don’t want to diss anyone’s favorite show.
Feel free to take a shot at Janeway or Kirk at my expense.
